How can the DUP be trusted to secure future resolutions to do with the Irish Sea Border, if the top brass deny it even exists?

The “oversell” was a serious mistake on their part. Doubling down on it compounds the own goal.

Most people appreciated the difficult position the DUP were in to do a deal, and some even understand their return to Stormont, but justifying that return based on demonstrable lies is a mistake that will damage trust and confidence in the party long-term.

Those mistruths will and must be repeatedly exposed.
