At the end, a big thank you to
@GuyVerhofstadt, co-chair of #CoFoE, a true European leader who inspired us all throughout the process and led the Conference to this result. 🇪🇺👏
On #health, my proposals for shared EU competences, better mental healthcare, minimum healthcare standards & priority medicines lists were adopted. With these, more citizens will live better lives. We now need a firm commitment from all EU institutions to implement all these.
My work in #CoFoE focused on #democracy & #health. On democracy, I proposed a mechanism for permanent consultation of citizens and I am glad that this was also a request from the citizens themselves. We need to be in dialogue with citizens permanently, not only every 5 years.
After one year #CoFoE ends with 325 proposals to bring the Union closer to its citizens. What a milestone for European democracy!
I'm extremely glad to have been part of this exercise. We are now obliged to implement these conclusions & not shy away even from Treaty changes.

This institution needs all the support, be it financial or administrative, to be able to carry out its activity in high gear and investigate #frauds with EU taxpayers money.

17 years since Romania signed the treaty to join the EU. We've come a long way ever since:
- €70 bn in EU funds
- economy more than doubled
- GDP/capita went from 38% to 72% of EU average
Joining the EU is undeniably the best thing that happened to Romania in recent history.
The re-election of @EmmanuelMacron is a great result for France and for Europe. Populism and anti-Europeanism are fortunately kept at bay and our common liberal values are safeguarded. Great momentum to revigorate EU through #COFOE.
In less than one year, the @EUProsecutor has been working on 515 investigations for an estimated damage of €5.4 bn of EU taxpayers money.
Good to hear the EU chief prosecutor Laura Kovesi present its activity in @europarl_en today. We must support EPPO to continue its work.
Excited to be the @RenewEurope rapporteur on the #DataAct. I will strive for a framework in which data empowers our #citizens and helps our #economies grow.

7 yrs ago Colectiv fire killed 64 in 🇷🇴. Many could have been saved if we had a EU mechanism to cooperate on complex treatments, such as severe burns, or if we had common health standards across the EU. This is why I fight for a true Health Union, including Treaty changes. #CoFoE
Bombing innocent people in a train station is terrorism and is abominable. Putin’s Russia clearly became a rogue state. We have the duty to apply further sanctions and isolate it. All responsible for these horrible crimes need to pay.
Russia has been suspended from the UN #HumanRights Council by a large majority. Putin’s Russia has no place at the table after the horrible #Bucha massacre. Shame on the countries who voted against.
