Today we are facing an existential crisis - the threat of war, at least on the European scale.
This is a moment when we need at least minimum common EU policies - on defence, energy, climate & towards India, US & China.

The EU reacts to crises. Many unpredictable. I believe what will emerge is islands of strengthened integration.
Our objective now is to negotiate w/ the US a way so that the #IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) has the least damaging effects on EU interests.

We have the solidarity that stems from having common values.
Europeans do stand for law, order and democracy. If we don’t share these values - like Orban’s government does - this makes our unity fragile.
