Earlier, the Azerbaijanis also removed the cross of the St. Astvatsatsin church in Stepanakert. In addition, they are turning the Berdzor church into a mosque.

After the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh, the Azerbaijani side, with the tendency to justify its own crimes, continues to declare that it did not forcefully evict the Armenians of Artsakh and offers to return those who want to as proof.

Such vandalism towards the Armenian cultural and spiritual heritage is another proof that the real aim of Azerbaijan was ethnic cleansing and the elimination of the Armenian legacy from Artsakh.
