It is true. Every day, fewer and fewer people pay attention to what is happening in Ukraine. And every day, I am here to remind you about us. I am going to do this until our victory day. I am talking here about war and culture. This post is about war. It is #warcoffeedaily, January 30, 2024:
Attacks on civilians and infrastructure
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: The russian forces attacked two districts today, injuring a man. The missile hit a yard belonging to the locals. A residential building was partially destroyed. Another 31 houses were damaged. Several outbuildings were destroyed.
Kherson Oblast: The town of Beryslav was attacked with a drone, and a local resident was killed.
Mobilisation
Today, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers approved and submitted an updated draft law on mobilisation to the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s Parliament).
Good job, boys
Many websites and applications in the .ru zone did not load today. Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has claimed that a cyberattack by its specialists has "taken down" the russian Defence Ministry's special communications server.
It is a good news, too
Thanks to a court decision, Ukraine's state budget received more than UAH 32 million ($842,500) of funds confiscated from sanctioned persons. These are the personal funds of collaborators such as Dmytro Vorona and Volodymyr Saldo and the funds from the company of russian oligarch Deripaska.
Meanwhile
The International Monetary Fund expects russia's GDP to grow by 2.6%, which is more than double the rate the IMF predicted in October and slightly slower than the 3% growth expected in 2023.
The main impetus for the development of the russian economy is provided by the increase in military spending.
