I am delighted that the #COVID committee now decided to invite Von der Leyen to a hearing in the EP. I have wanted this from the beginning.
Accountability is an integral part of democracy. And transparency is a must, not an option.

@Rob_Roos I must say, I’m positively surprised that also Kathleen Van Brempt is taking strong responsibility in this matter. This shows that the governance processes within EUI are more than dead letter.
