Melbourne, Australia has the possibility for 50 build on top - vertical extensions - in mass timber. Extending the life span of existing office buildings but with new residential flats on top. One such extension has turned every dollar spent into a 3 dollar value increase.

In Vancouver any material used on site from a dismantled / deconstructed building is deemed carbon neutral with regards the new build. Good idea Vancouver! Reuse and cycling is key combined with design for disassembly &amp; reuse ⁦⁦
