@ArielBrunner The Q. posed is only about the Austrian forest (not about where the wood goes). A managed forest can store more carbon than an unmanaged forest. The safe storage of carbon, needed to tackle climate change, will be achieved at a larger scale (ie more carbon) via a managed forest.
