My birdbath is full of bees and wasps at the edge. They seem to co-exist with the birds quite well! Also bumblebees love my Hollyhock flowers so I put some water on them. They like that too!

Your garden birds may be struggling in this heat. Water is essential but so is food. Don’t forget to fill up seed feeders. And throw down some mealworms. The soil is too hard for earthworms to be found.

I had my first booster in a really unsafe vaccine centre. No ventilation, overcrowding etc. Really scary. Without my 3M FFP3 who knows?
The second one fortunately was in a huge sports centre with a high ceiling. Gone through lots of these!

Please remember to put out water for the birds. It’s 27 degrees out there. That’s one of mine behind the seed catcher and a Vierno in the second pic. Mischievous blue tits like bathing in that one too and splash water everywhere. There are more out out the back. @BirdWatchIE

I am a big hollyhock fan. They love this weather! This one is 8 ft tall ( and is staked) It came back from seeds dropped last year. It may flower until November. ❤️
