But some people (mostly men) that are very concerned about sexual crimes committed by immigrants seems uninterested and even negative towards policies aiming at protecting women when immigrants are not involved.

I live in Bergsjön. Known as one of the "worst" places in Sweden. This is not a "no-go-zone".
The police here very often!

Thats not to say there are no problems. Drugs are being sold, organized crime gangs in SE are murdering each other (and sometimes bystanders). But generally this is a good place to live.

The most important problem with immigration and immigration in Sweden are organized crime. And a large part of that is to do with 2:nd generation immigrants. They are not given a fair chance in our society, and the swedish school system is extremely bad.

Segregation, discrimination, bad schools, bad laws on crime, etc... Some policies (such as our labour laws) are very reasonable but contributes to the problem.

And on the whole, if you look at statics on happiness, life-expectancy etc... Sweden is wonderful country to live in. One of the best in the world.

If people in Ireland really want to protect women, perhaps you should consider adopting swedish style laws? Statistics will go up, and more perpetrators will be put in jail. And in a generation there is a decent chance there might be a culture change that makes women safer.
