RT by @MaryLouMcDonald: It was a special honour to address the 27th annual #AislingAwards ceremony in Belfast.

We are celebrating and saluting the efforts of all those from across our communities, from the Newtownards Road to Newlodge Road, who are leading huge change and making a difference that counts.

The awards were a call to action to embrace change for the common good.

Our society is at its best when we move forward together, acknowledging that our common goals far outweigh everything else.

I am confident that our greatest days are yet to come.
