Deal reached on #CBAM this morning at 5 am.
We managed to make some improvements compared to the Commission proposal, but we did not manage to get the level of ambition we aimed for when it comes to scope.
Here the Council was very uncooperative in the negotiations 😔

The biggest disappointment for me is however the lack of concrete commitments to use #CBAM revenues for decarbonisation in Least Developed Countries. This was partly blocked by EP itself though, with @RenewEurope insisting that no money be earmarked! A shame if you ask me.
