Today’s #TTE Council meeting was long & intense, with substantial political discussion & progress on a very complex proposal for a type of market intervention that has never been done before. Reaching an agreement on this topic was never going to be easy.

We have made progress on technical aspects, identifying risks & finding safeguards to reduce these risks to the minimum.
The Member States know the importance of arriving at a conclusion on this proposal & on other open crisis initiatives on the table.

We have worked intensively this year to respond to an unforeseen, complex & difficult crisis.
