I'm proud to say that with €8.4 billion pledged at the #EHF2023 today to humanitarian aid in 2023, the 🇪🇺 together with its MS is renewing its commitment with those in need, no matter who & where they are.

If all the people in need of humanitarian aid right now constituted a country, it would be the third-largest country on earth.

We have announced 🇪🇺 emergency funding of €2.5 million in humanitarian aid for #Madagascar, #Malawi and #Mozambique, the 3 countries of the region that suffered the most damage from the 2 passages of tropical storm #Freddy in February and March 2023.

Almost €810 million have been pledged at the 2023 Solidarity Conference with Venezuelans and their hosts.
