🇪🇺 and our Member States are the leading donors of international aid to Syrians in need. Together, we have mobilized over €27 billion since 2011.
We are quickly adapting the ongoing humanitarian projects and mobilizing additional funds to meet the needs after the #earthquake🇸🇾.

To support Syrians, 🇪🇺-funded humanitarian partners are providing, among other:
🔹️search and rescue 🧑🚒
🔹️first aid ⚕️
🔹️ambulance services 🚑
🔹️shelter ⛺️
🔹️food 🥫
🔹️water and sanitation 🚾
We also immediately allocated new €3.5 million to help 🇸🇾 people in need.

Also the #EUCivilProtectionMechanism was activated to assist Syrians affected by this terrible #earthquake.
Momentarily, 6 🇪🇺 countries are helping with tents, blankets, beds, mats, sleeping bags, food, winter clothing, masks and more.
