2/3 Well, one can only wonder if, by that logic, we should also consider the wisdom of buying weapons from Germany.
1/3 Helsingin Sanomat (the largest newspaper in Finland), which never wastes an opportunity to bash Israel, tells us today that we should not buy weapons from "a country that is afraid of Russia" and hesitant in its support to Ukraine.

6/8 The cost has, nevertheless, been high. How high, we will learn in time and we do not need to know now. Bad news are bad for the spirits, and bad spirits are bad for the effort.
5/8 Worthy of recognition is also the press department of the Ukrainian General Staff. They never boast about non-existent or unconfirmed "victories", unlike the Russians. They understand that credibility is valuable capital.
4/8 This patient work has not been blitzkrieg but it has proven to be very cost-effective.
3/8 The UAF, unlike the Russians, understand that their most valuable capital are the soldiers. They have systematically destroyed with artillery the Russian logistics, stores, depots, troops and equipment and only advanced when opportunities have arisen.
2/8 Some commentators and "experts" have over the past two months made belittling comments on the operation for its "slowness" or "lack of progress", as if it were the task of the UAF to keep the audience entertained with spectacular frontal attacks.
1/8 Congratulations to Ukraine and its armed forces on the long-awaited liberation of Kherson and the west bank of river Dnipro!

4/4 I hope the US support will continue and increase, but at the same time I would find it difficult to blame the Americans if they raised the question: Why are the European "big powers" doing so little when we are doing do much?
3/4 This is, after all, a European war, the outcome of which has direct implications for the security in Europe.
2/4 I would worry much more about the fact that Europe combined supports Ukraine much less than the US alone; that the UK alone supports Ukraine more than the EU combined; that Latvia and Estonia support Ukraine more than France.
1/4 Many people in Europe have been worried about the mid-term elections results in the US and how they might impact the willingness of the Congress to support Ukraine.
