I hear a lot about increasing defence spending… not much about the real problem: duplication.
Only one fourth of European investments are collaborative. Our defence structures are disjointed from start to finish.
A Defence paper or Commissioner won’t help that.
We need a European Defence Union… as foreseen in 1954… as a solid pillar of NATO.
Going into the 3rd year of Putin’s war and with Trump maybe back next year, we are nowhere near where we should be !
