@felixthehat I think I explained that, whatever tax loopholes the government creates for certain places, they will have nothing to do with Brexit because we had them as EU members

Eustice says government has no plan to reduce meat consumption

He admits that methane production has a massive climate impact

But is relying on UK ‘ingenuity’ to find food supplements to reduce methane

A typical, unicorn, technofix response

Letting down future generations

RT @doug_parr: It is estimated that is at least four times cheaper than gas, yet consumers pay for ALL of it at the gas price

Decoupling them would save households £330 per year by 2030

Wind is already generating 45% of our electricity

We need to rapidly ramp up wind, onshore and offshore, and solar to build domestic energy resilience

It’s cheaper and faster than nuclear
RT @NationalGridESO: Yesterday generated 45.3% of British electricity followed by nuclear 21.5%, gas 18.4%, solar 7.8%, biomass 3.7%, imports 2.1%, hydro 1.2%, coal 0.0%, coal 0.0% *excl. non-renewable distributed generation

@felixthehat Freeports have nothing to do with Brexit. There are many across the EU and the UK used to have some while in EU membership. They are dodgy in tax terms though. I made an investigatory visit to the Freeport of Riga as part of a tax committee of the European Parliament

David Davis, the Brexit Secretary who turned up to negotiations with no papers, now finding no benefits of Brexit

He blames Theresa May's deal, which was not the deal we signed

And he blames 'Remainers'!

Sorry mate: you broke it, you own it!

RT @doug_parr: Just like with the Energy Security Strategy, the UK National Food Strategy represents a caving in to vested interests

In the Energy Strategy it was oil & gas and nuclear industries.

In the Food Strategy it's big farmers and processed food industry

Whose shocked? It was clear this was coming

Government needs to invest in a retrofit revolution to prevent recession and ease energy crisis

And boost incomes of the poorest

Increasing taxes on the wealthy to pay for this and temper inflation risks

RT @Ross_Greer: The UK Government's attempt to lift the ban on bringing in agency workers during a strike is a direct attack on the most powerful tool workers have, the ability to withdraw their labour.

It will also endanger public safety as un/under-qualified staff are given critical roles

To grab power for himself agreed to the Northern Ireland protocol

It cut the Brexit Gordian knot, but he had no intention of keeping it

This deceit undermines peace in Ireland and turns the UK into an international pariah state

RT @greenmattbfd: 📈 With rising oil costs, the government should be trying to get MORE people on

💺 That means investment, cheaper fares and more services

🤦‍♂️ Instead they want to cut staff and reduce capacity
