RT @NVJRobins1: Important to ensure that the U.K. keeps fossil gas out of its @UKSIF @IIGCCnews

Our constitution is clear: Prime Minister serves because he can command a majority in Parliament

It is clear that Johnson no longer can so he must go

But unscrupulous PM can exploit weakness of unwritten constitution

Time for a constitutional convention and a modern democracy!

This guy was happy to support Johnson’s law breaking over the Northern Ireland protocol

And to risk peace and Northern Ireland

He deserves absolutely no credit for resigning now

Why does anybody vote for the Conservatives? 🤬😡🤯
RT @BrandonLewis: A decent and responsible Government relies on honesty, integrity and mutual respect - it is a matter of profound personal regret that I must leave Government as I no longer believe th…

Hi @seanfarrington

I’m pretty sure I’m right in saying John Longwirth was not a Conservative MEP

He was elected from the Brexit Party if I’m not mistaken

Although they’ve become almost indistinguishable in recent years

RT @rafaelbehr: So a bunch of cabinet ministers told Johnson to resign. He didn't. And they carry on as cabinet ministers.

We're really stress-testing the informal guard rails around executive power in British democracy now.

RT @William_Wragg: A Constitutional Monarchy, not a Presidency. It is a shame to have to point out this principle.

Really wonderful to see @GlosCCGreens defending the vital service provided by our county farms

Congratulations to Chloe and the Gang!
RT @MinchChloe: 🌾Great day at @GlosCC today, with cross-party support for Green county farms motion & (after Tory friendly amendment) securing a task & finish group to discuss future of the council’s estate.

Grateful for fantastic public support on this (25 of 35 public questions on farming!)

RT @CarolineRussell: New Covid dashboard data for England last week.

🦠cases 139,272 up 29,172 (26.5%)

🦠deaths 454 up 53 (13.2%)

🦠hospital admissions 11,028 up 2,733 (32.9%)

Surely these numbers should be prompting public health advice to reduce transmission and even some news comment? 👀

RT @GreenPartyJack: I’m so tired of hearing constant references to Boris Johnson’s “colossal” mandate.

He got 42.4% of the vote. In most countries with functioning democracies, this would mean a loss, or a need to form a coalition.

And his victory was centred around an enormous lie.

RT @CarolineLucas: This is really serious - so many Qs about this must now be answered
@BorisJohnson did you tell security services you were flying from NATO summit re Salisbury poisonings to meet an ex-KGB agent?
Why did you ditch security detail?
Did you take classified documents?

Combative and rambunctious performance from the PM

But it achieved nothing in terms of the many crises facing our country and the world

The farce of is symbolic of how outdated and broken is our whole political system

Zahawi is playing the nodding dog and Dorries beams adulation

But the rest of the front bench look pretty sick

I am sick of this decades-long Tory pscyhodrama

Britain deserves so much better

RT @carolinejmolloy: Bit depressing to hear Rachel Reeves answer a question on fuel duty by saying "the big issue is to make sure retailers pass the cuts on", when she could have said "the big issue is to make transport affordable & also sort climate, govt should cut public transport costs"
