Two days ago we published about 22 Palestinians that was pushed back in life rafts by Greek authorities outside Lesvos on January 5, yesterday it happened again, this time outside Chios.
A boat carrying 16 Palestinians was stopped outside the Greek island of Chios yesterday, engine removed, towed back towards Turkish waters, and left helplessly drifting by the Greek coast guard.
Greek authorities are doing everything in their power to illegally deport anyone who manage to get into Greek territorial waters isn’t new, this has been ongoing for years, with no regard for human lives, international laws, regulations, and fundamental human rights.
That these vulnerable people are being massacred by the thousands in Gaza by Israel, attempted wiped off the face of the earth, doesn’t seem to bother Greek authorities at all, all in the name of “border protection”, “European values” and “The European way of life”.
Since January 2020, we have registtered 2.847 pushback cases in the Aegean Sea, performed by the Hellenic coast guard, involving 77.532 men, women and children, supported and funded by The European Commision and Frontex.
