'Solid' could benefit from far more visibility, as it's very promising, according to @pchampin of @w3c. Some governments are giving it much support. @pchampin hopes the creation of a working group will help the idea grow.

'Solid', an idea of @timberners_lee, offers much potential for the future, as way of decentralising the Web, giving us more control of our data. Very topical for GDPR in the EU! It's based on RDF and the Linked Data Platform.

'Activity Pub', an example of 'decentralised data', powers Mastodon (@joinmastodon), a social platform breaking and gaining ground. 'Activity Pub' was a @w3c recommendation. @pchampin hopes a working group will focus on this very soon. (Take note!)
