Marine environment: The European Commission has opened an infringement procedure with 9 Member States including #Cyprus for failing to comply with the Marine Strategy Directive aiming to protect EU seas and ensure their resources are managed sustainably.

Free movement of services: Today, the European Commission decided to launch and to pursue 24 cases against several Member States including #Cyprus for various breaches of services-related legislation.

Offshore energy: The Commission decided to open an #infringement procedure by sending a letter of formal notice to #Cyprus to correctly transpose EU rules on the safety of offshore oil and gas operations. The rules are to help prevent accidents at offshore energy installations.
