Despite ambitions & strict requirements, most passenger cars on 🇪🇺 roads still emit the same quantity of CO2 as 12 years ago. EVs can help come close to a zero-emissions car fleet.
However, emissions targets will not be achievable as long as important prerequisites are missing.

The EU set up foreign direct investment- FDI- screening to protect itself better against potential threats.
Although the 🇪🇺 framework is a positive step and makes it possible to detect more threats, a large proportion of FDI is still not screened, as serious weaknesses remain.
