The #NewCAP directs a higher level of public support to those who need it most.

Small farms in 25 EU countries will get higher income support thanks to a redistributive payment.

15% of EU farms will get support for insurance, mutual funds or other risk management tools.

€8.5 billion of #NewCAP funds will be dedicated to helping #YoungFarmers set up and maintain their business in their first years of activity.

In the 2023-2027 period, a total of 377 000 new young farmers are expected to be established as farmers in full capacity.

@eucapnetwork Member States were required to show higher environmental ambition in their #NewCAP Plans compared with their current situation.

Close to €98 billion will be devoted to environmental and animal welfare measures, encouraging practices beyond the mandatory conditionality.

@eucapnetwork Based on #NewCAP obligations, crop rotation is expected on around 85% of the CAP-supported arable land. This will help disrupt pest & disease cycles, reducing need for pesticides.

Over 26% of EU farmland will receive support for integrated pest management or precision farming.
