Ms Albertina Fillipus from IUM’s Centre of Env. Studies informed the Parliamentary Engagement that Academia is doing studies on the ‘Impact of Climate Change on our Vegetation.’ Forests can be the solution to climate change and we need to protect them!
Dr Clemens von Doderer from @HSFNamibia sheds more light on 3 Episodes of ‘The Forests of a Desert Land’ video series. They showcase the importance of forests in our daily lives. They also form part of a targeted campaign aim to raise awareness on sustainable forest management
Mr LEITÃO added: “I would like to assure you that EU places great importance to forest resources management worldwide. The EU has supported the efforts of many developing countries to preserve their forests and to contribute to sustainable, inclusive development over many years”
In setting the scene, @EU2Namibia‘s Gonçalo LEITÃO said the EU is pleased to be supporting the ‘Promoting Sustainable Forest Management in the Kavango-Zambezi Region in Nam’ Project, in effort to preserve its precious forests to continue sustaining livelihoods and our ecosystem.
Parliamentary Public engagement on ‘Tackling Climate Change in Namibia - Forestry as a Key Sector’ under the EU-Funded Promoting Sustainable Forest Management in the Kavango-Zambezi region in Namibia currently underway at Safari Court Hotel, Windhoek.
