A year ago we woke up to a new reality. Russia's brutal attack on Ukraine has become a fact. This morning, together with local government officials from all over Europe, we laid flowers in tribute to the defenders of Ukraine at Heroic Mariupol Square in Gdańsk. @EPP #SlavaUkraine

In the '90s 🇵🇱 and 🇺🇦 had similar starting point. 🇵🇱development was successful because of 🇪🇺 accession & strong regions & cities. Therefore we should support our 🇺🇦 friends on the same🇪🇺 path, which is not easy, but worth going for it. You have our support @OGeblewicz

These are mainly women & children, which cannot waste time when growing up. We have in our region a school in🇺🇦 languages as well as shelter for 🇺🇦 women, which is a hub for them. They can learn from us, and one day go back to rebuild their country on the EU path @BrzezinMarek

Moldova & Ukraine have the same status as EU candidate countries. Since Maidan revolution I am confident that we are investing in European Ukraine. All sort of assistance should be conditional, in order to make 🇺🇦 EU integration irreversibly easier. @J_Lewandowski
