Yesterday finally even the most concerned ones, HU university professors, researchers & students could tell their opinion on COM’s decision to suspend #Erasmus & Horizon programmes for HU.

Their message was clear: it is completely incompatible with EU norms that they are hit without any proof of violating #RoL principles or malversation of EU funds. It is awkward to suppose they have damaged EU interests. They will rightly go to the Court!

In the future, sanctions should not be applied to a higher education institution without an analysis of how and when it violated #RoL and, in this context, what disadvantages it caused to the Union.
