@EP_Legal adopted its position on #CSDDD. It is widening the scope, adding new obligations & liability, thus making the COM proposal even worse. It is outrageous that the @EP_Industry opinion that took the side of companies was not taken into consideration.

I can't understand how EPP & RE could support such anti-business approach.
I consistently reject any initiative that imposes additional administrative burdens on companies.

In the current difficult times, when companies have to fight for survival due to war, skyrocketing #energyprices & #inflation, it is unacceptable to require from companies even more reporting obligations. It is not the job of companies to play policeman to one another.

Compliance with human rights, social and environmental standards is the responsibility of the authorities of the countries concerned. The EU should create a business-friendly environment, instead we are making our companies' life miserable.
