China has been our biggest trading partner since 2021 with a daily turnover exceeding 2.3 billion EUR. Our primary task should be to balance our heavy trade deficit.

Realpolitik should prevail: we do need dialogue & trade relations with China. By this we are not saying China is a democracy or a market economy. We should simply respect the realities & be pragmatic.
