In @EP_Trade with @VDombrovskis today I welcomed that COM is finally reacting to USA's #IRA. With the sluggish response we lost valuable months.
The energy situation with the war and sanctions & US economic policy are all hurting the EU's competitiveness.

I asked the Commissioner to ensure that the EU response to be presented on 1 Feb provides a level playing field for all MSs, and not just the big ones will benefit from it. I also made clear that it is more important than ever for COM to relieve the burden on Europe's SMEs.
