Today it's the end of the 12th successful #PESCAO joint control operation in West Africa. After 5 years of working together with @CSRP2016, the fight against #IUU fishing is at full sail, we hope to continue contributing to better regional fisheries governance in the area. (1/3)

Cape Verde hosted the single coordination centre for this operation in #COSMAR, which covered the waters of Senegal🇸🇳, Gambia🇬🇲 & CV🇨🇻, also with the help of a vessel from the 🇫🇷 National Navy, the Premier maître L’Her, an EFCA-chartered plane, and our satellite images. (2/3)

We supported a #SAR operation managed by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre of CV🇨🇻.
Our aircraft✈️, during its fisheries surveillance activity, intercepted a distress call &, together with the JRCC, carried out the search which led to the location of the⛵️in distress. (3/3)
