2/ Bab al-Hawa is the only lifeline for civilians in this part of the country.
The delivery of aid via the border is voted on by the
@UN
Security Council. The resolution 2642 is now up for renewal on 10 January 2023.
The consequences of non-renewal would be catastrophic.

3/ ''If the aid stops, the situation will get worse and worse. People will die, both young and old,'' Ramda, a disabled man living in a camp in northwest Syria, says.
For Ramda, as well as for 4 million others, the transport of aid through the crossing is a lifeline.

5/ The EU and its Member States are the leading donors of international aid to those affected by the conflict.
EU-funded assistance reaches Syrians via all avenues, including cross-border.
We call for the renewal of the #UNSC resolution to maintain this #LifelineToSyrians❗
