@BenIrvineAuthor Now you're being obnoxious for it's own sake. Bye.

@ChrisDo23740504 @PeruInUK @elbritanico @EdMalagaTrillo Peru was a sovereign state. See the difference?

@_TheGMan @BenIrvineAuthor "A total shutdown is literally lethal. Loosening the restrictions as soon as possible is not just a question of freedom or of economic growth; it is a question of basic welfare." March 2020. What was your earliest? telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/03/2

@BenIrvineAuthor Now you're just being rude. It was a bloody lonely business attacking lockdown in March 2020: me, Hitchens and about 6 others. I'm amazed at how often I get this criticism from people who joined in later and have since backdated their opposition.

@ChrisDo23740504 @PeruInUK @elbritanico @EdMalagaTrillo Right. Abuses carried out by Peruvian managers on Peruvian soil were ended because the company happened to be registered in London, which gave Britain a reason to intervene. The system, you might almost say, worked.

@ChrisDo23740504 @PeruInUK @elbritanico @EdMalagaTrillo Surely his “exposure” was in the form of his report to the British Government - which then leaned on the Peruvian authorities to tackle some of the abuses Casement identified. No?

@justinamash Hermann Göring boasted in 1939 that “If a single enemy bomber reaches the Ruhr, you can call me Meyer!” As Allied bombing raids became heavier in the later part of the war, German wags would occasionally call out “Meyer! Meyer!”
