A wildfire on the 29th of June burned down and damaged houses, storages, cottages, and small chapels and had 8 settlements in the south of the island evacuated.

Data collected by the Sentinel-2 satellites is being used to monitor land use and change, soil sealing, land management, agriculture, forestry, natural disasters and to support humanitarian aid missions🌍
🔜 Pre-launch activities will be carried out in Kourou to prepare Sentinel-2C for launch on the final Vega rocket in September 🚀
