PwC were auditors for Quinn Insurance Ltd (QIL). When an Administrator was appointed to QIL the Min for Finance had to provide over €1 billion to the Insurance Compensation Fund (ICF) to cover financial shortfall.

PwC were sued by Admin of QIL, over €30 million had to provided by the State to the Courts as security for costs in order for High Court case to proceed.
Case is settled but no details are being provided as to the amount of the settlement. Taxpayers are entitled to know.
