everyone. Many of my favourite books & writers are those that bring the natural world to life, as the poet John Clare explains in this quote. What books do you love for how they evoke the power and beauty of nature?

Just when you thought Labour couldn’t swing any further to the right …
This is just terrible for anyone who still thought they might offer an alternative to austerity

Genuinely can’t quite believe that
nitter.privacydev.net/labour
is supporting fuel duty freeze which
- has cost c. £90bn since 2010
- increased emissions by 7%
- benefits wealthiest most
Has it totally given up on progressive politics?

Most public services face huge cuts - and this on top of the unforgivable damage the Tories have already done with so called austerity. Grim and wrong

UK is still at bottom of G7 for private investment so Chancellor’s smugness is singularly misplaced. Investment in green economy is good for jobs & economy as well as cutting emissions. So why didn’t Chancellor invest today to crowd in more private investment?

RT by @CarolineLucas: Chancellor’s tax cut means less for the public good. There is wealth, but it’s not shared or used fairly. It’s why Greens support a wealth tax to fund the NHS and the green investment our people and economy need. That’s what people in Brighton want my priority to be.

RT by @CarolineLucas: 💸 The effect of the growing inequality gap and cost of living crisis is clear for everyone to see.

🤯 And yet the Chancellor's was the exact opposite of what the country needs.

@carla_denyer lays out the Green Party's five-point plan for a fairer, greener country👇

As if Labour scrapping the £28bn weren’t enough, they're backing the fuel duty freeze which has cost the Treasury tens of billions, increased emissions & benefits rich households most. So much for Rachel Reeves aspiring to be Britain's first green Chancellor …

Did Starmer really just attack the Govt from the right by criticizing him for not cutting income tax? Twilight zone.
