Yet again the Govt is doubling down on planet-choking oil & gas - this time *underneath* offshore wind projects. However hard they try - powering fossil fuel production with renewables won't change the fact that most emissions are caused by burning it 🤦

“this is a deeply irresponsible and divisive move that goes against all advice from the International Energy Agency or the UN, and further sets back UK’s climate reputation

L3Harris arms factory's

to decline planning permission for them to expand - we should not be arming Israel

It's been yet another awful news week in UK politics, so thought I'd share a story from

that did make me smile this week: looks like 4 Peregrine Falcon chicks have hatched at Sussex Heights this year! You can view the nestbox camera here:

This video is a powerful reminder that we should never take democracy for granted. If you have the right to vote, use it - whether it's tomorrow in the UK, or, if you're an EU citizen, at next month's European elections

RT by @CarolineLucas: "How much more suffering has to happen before he acts to prevent further UK complicity?"

Green MP Caroline Lucas asks Rishi Sunak if Israeli troops move into Rafah, "will that be the moment when the Prime Minister finally finds the moral backbone to ban arms exports to Israel?".

Important debate in Parliament today on the shocking levels of youth homelessness. This is a huge problem in

With Netanyahu looking set to launch imminent attack on Rafah in defiance of international humanitarian law, I challenged PM to finally find moral backbone to ban arms exports & end UK complicity in crimes vs humanity. But clearly not. How much more suffering will it take?

It's important that reports like this one from
nitter.privacydev.net/BBCNews
tell people how much the Rwanda scheme is actually costing us. It's not £3k. Eg.
nitter.privacydev.net/IPPR
estimates £228k. People deserve to know how much extra this Government is willing to pay to be this cruel.

The

commitment to phase out coal power by early 2030s falls far short of what the

demands.
For a liveable future we need to urgently phase out *all* planet-choking fossil fuels - coal, oil & gas - & richest countries must lead the way
