Everyone is now talking about Donald Trump's statements - typical for him - meanwhile, the really important words were made recently by the Head of NATO. Jens Stoltenberg pointed out that Russia will be a threat to NATO for many years to come, and that the arms industry in European NATO countries is practically non-existent and needs to be rebuilt.
The problem is that heavy industry is needed to produce military equipment. Meanwhile, the European Commission is seeking, in practice, the complete elimination of heavy industry in the Union. Without heavy industry how are tanks, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled guns, etc. to be produced in the Union? Most European politicians do not even try to answer this question.
Russia's war against Ukraine has been going on for 2 years now, and most EU countries, except for Poland and other countries on the eastern flank, have done nothing to ensure the rearmament of their armies and the development of the arms industry. This is the last moment for all EU and NATO countries to take responsibility for their common security.
