R to @BeataSzydlo: A defeat for the Brussels radicals! The media is reporting that the topic of amending the European Treaties to centralise power over Europe in Brussels will not come up at next week's European Council (i.e. the meeting of EU heads of government).
According to journalists, European leaders have decided that this is a "difficult topic" and do not want to touch it. Well. There you go. And the Brussels radicals were trying so hard to push through a change of the Treaties as quickly as possible.
Stopping the rapid revision of the Treaties is a success for all of us who opposed the planned centralisation of the European Union. However, it is not over yet. The Brussels bureaucracy is continuing to work and will not give up. The issue of amending the Treaties is still due to come before the General Affairs Council on 18 December.
The advocates of centralisation will always continue to try to push their project forward and through. We will not allow them to do so.
