We accepted 2,500,000 Ukrainian refugees in 2022-23, which relative to the population of the US would give 900,000 migrants per month. Even the 1.5 million who have stayed in Poland gives almost 550,000 per month, so I think we can say that we are doing our bit as it is.
However, we fully understand your concerns and support US attempts to tackle the problem, especially in the case of a person like you, who has such a fine record on defence and the Western Alliance. Nevertheless, I am sure you agree that weakening three key U.S. allies who are under attack would be a road to catastrophe for all of us in the West, including the U.S.
