I don't mind the UK King meeting and shaking hands with the EU Commission President.

But I do find it ridiculous he doesn't shake hands with the UK Prime Minister or other UK elected office holders, who are meant to bow. It's the 21st century.

@phatsilk_qc Re tissues: yes. I once got a spontaneous nose bleed in the the Court of Appeal while the LJ was giving judgment (in favour of my client). I couldn't catch the usher's eye. Got kind looks from the JJs and used a page from the notebook to stem the flow. So yes, tissues good.
