@ResurrectedBar2 I don't think anyone is suggesting that we never go further than 15 minutes or we never use a car. The way I understand it is about planning to add in in more walkable options, which some people don't have.

I suggest my party @libdems should look at adopting 15 minute neighbourhoods as a policy for government. It would be a worthwhile reform of the national planning framework.

@Theos_Nan Yes the southeastern and southwestern corners need more. Better is possible. Proximity to a primary school is particularly lacking in the SE corner. I live south of the tracks though and can get to most things in 15 or 20ish with a buggy.

I'm strongly in favour of 15 minute towns. The idea is having the main things you need within a 15 min walk, not needing to drive all the time. We almost have a 15 min town here in Faversham. Councils everywhere and govt should adopt it as an aim.

RT @TWlibdems: The Tunbridge Wells @LibDems team is delighted to be out talking to residents in Paddock Wood today. There are plenty of hot issues on the doorstep for our excellent candidate Mark Munday to take on - in particular, the new infrastructure required to accompany new homes.

The alternative is to create a safe an legal route to apply to for asylum.

There presently is not one for many refugees. Leaving the ECHR would hugely damage the UK's international standing.
RT @SimonClarkeMP: Criminal gangs will bring 65,000 people to the UK illegally this year. The Home Office already has tens of thousands living in hotels, spending £7m each day housing them. MPs ruling out leaving the ECHR need to tell us what the alternative is if our plans …

This is another piece of evidence that our economy is going backwards under the Tories and we need change in the UK.
RT @amanpour: “The poorest fifth of the population are now much poorer [in the UK] than most of the poorest countries in central and eastern Europe,” says @MyStephanomics. “They would be better off in quite poor countries in the European Union.”
