RT @LibDems: Last night, 292 Conservative MPs voted to allow sewage dumping by water companies in our rivers and coasts for at least 15 more years.

Can you spot your MP on the list?

The charge on plastic bags was a Lib Dem policy introduced a Lib Dem Secretary of State @EdwardJDavey.

Imagine how much better we'd be with more Lib Dem policies put in action.
RT @kelvmackenzie: The introduction of a 5-10p charge on plastic bags by supermarkets has led to a 95% fall in demand. Imagine what a £10 charge would do to GP waiting rooms. Excess deaths would be less than those caused by ambulance workers.

RT @LibDems: 290 Conservative MPs have voted against a Liberal Democrat amendment which would have forced the Government to release their review of the Golden Visa scheme.

We know Putin’s cronies used and abused this scheme - so why won’t the Government give us the full picture?

@JWhohe @MAMBarLife I was in a CVP case recently where one participant said he could get an idea what some other participants were looking at if they wore glasses, from their screen reflecting in the lenses.

There are many articles online saying "in law only a mam can commit rape" but this is because they writers have interpreted "having a penis" that way. Many such articles were written around the time the SOA was made law, when fluid gender concepts were not so widely aired.

I believe the MSP was speaking is wrong Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009, s. 1 provides that rape is when a person A penetrates another B with A's penis.

A self-defining as not a man would not provide A with a defence in law.

Sexual Offences Act 2003 in England is similar.
RT @andrew_lilico: That was a really interesting point just now on R4. Apparently under Scottish law women cannot be guilty of rape. So either the person in the current self-ID case can't …

@PercyBlakeney63 I suspect that "half" includes state pensioners who have paid in for 40 odd years first. But I doubt the Mail will make that clear.

RT @SamuelE81246674: Vote Lib Dems to rejoin the single market. Vote Lib Dems to protect human rights. Vote Lib Dems for a fairer, more caring, greener future for you and your family. @libdems

Tell that to the person sitting in front of you who you will crush.
RT @tomhfh: Should you be free to marginally increase your own individual likelihood of dying by choosing to not wear a seatbelt in a moving vehicle?

RT @RhonddaBryant: The Levelling Up Fund is fundamentally corrupt because it is discretionary and competitive. It doesn’t allocate on the basis of need. It is politically biased because Tory MPs are secretly briefed about it and funds are allocated by party affiliation.

@dancrrll @thomasgodfreyuk @nedbh @cusackandrew @twillis209 @yuanyi_z The pay scales for assistants at the European Parliament (known as APAs) go up to about €75,000 if I recall correctly. Certainly a lot of skilled people working as senior APAs.

@yuanyi_z Not sure it's true. When I was an MEP there were pay scales for assistants (and still are) but I had wide discretion as to where someone would start / move to on that scale.

RT @RichardFoordLD: I am deeply concerned by today’s ruling on wild camping at Dartmoor. As a child, I wild camped on Dartmoor when training for the Ten Tors expedition and for the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Without these experiences I would not have joined the Army or trained to be a Mountain Leader.

@JusticeTyrwhit I expect some of those quotes might appear in leaflets of those standing against him at the next GE.

What the actual hell @AmazonUK ?

We ordered stuff from you for kids party bags, among which were these that luckily we found before any toddler got them.

'Horrified' does not begin to cover my reaction.

RT @SamuelE81246674: Labour won’t scrap the Rwanda immigration scheme, won’t vote to stop and won’t campaign to rejoin EU. Better to support a party that will. @LibDems

There was a time when Members of the UK Parliament didn't speak like this.
RT @timloughton: Just shut the f*** up

Violence hadn't entirely stopped by the 90s. In Year 7 in 91-92 I was hit in the head while sitting, without warning, by an experienced teacher. It has often come back to me when in my professional career I've been concerned with injustices of one kind or another.
RT @Samfr: Little bit of education policy history I didn't know. In 1996 Tory backbenchers put down an amendment to an education bill to restore caning. Asked about it on Radio 4 then SoS Gillian Shephar…
