@juroberts_julia It is a more excessive requirement than is required to enter Parliament, the European Parliament or Kent County Council, three buildings with security concerns I am familiar with.
I suspect it might be illegal.

@juroberts_julia Case is point. Under PACE, I don't believe police could do that to someone they search on the street.

Search is one thing. Revelation of all one's personal items to many other people present is another.
