RT @JonAshworth: Under the Tories:

▪️Pay plummeting.

▪️Employment lower than pre pandemic.

▪️High numbers out of work for long term sickness.

Labour will get Britain working again, target highest employment in G7, shift resources to communities & rebuild economy with a Green Prosperity Plan.

RT @LucyMPowell: Absolutely gutting to lose, but we can be proud at how we played. The score line didn’t reflect the match, but that’s how it goes sometimes

RT @wesstreeting: This is surely an offer the Government can’t refuse.

@theRCN and @unisontheunion have been clear that there is a deal to be done, but the Government must be prepared to negotiate.

It’s time they put patients before Tory politics.

RT @elliereeves: This govt are trying to rip up the Human Rights Act.

Legislation which has helped protect women from male violence.

Tackling violence against women & girls is clearly not a priority for this govt.

The Human Rights Act contains vital protections for victims and survivors of sexual violence.

But the Conservatives want to replace it with a Bill of Rights that will reduce safeguards for women.

On , Labour stands by the Human Rights Act.

Today Labour voted to abolish non-dom tax status and use that money to train a new generation of nurses, midwives and doctors.

The Conservatives voted to protect people who live here but don’t pay tax here.

Labour supports nurses. The Conservatives support non-doms.

RT @Keir_Starmer: If you make Britain your home you should pay your taxes here too.

That’s why Labour will abolish non-dom tax status and instead train a new generation of doctors, nurses, and midwives.

Nurses not non-doms.

RT @YasminQureshiMP: I'm delighted the Govt has finally announced plans to implement the proposals outlined in my Private Members Bill on Flexible working.

This will help millions who face the dual challenge of balancing full or part-time work with other responsibilities.

Fantastic to be in Leeds for the launch of Labour's Commission on the UK's Future with @Keir_Starmer, @GordonBrown and @TracyBrabin.

Labour will deliver the biggest ever transfer of power from Westminster to the British people, spreading wealth and opportunity across our country

A chilly today with @Oxford_Labour on Osney Island.

Lots of residents voicing their support for Susanna Pressel, our hardworking local councillor. 🌹

Thank you to all the hardworking business owners in the UK for all you do to support local communities.

This , only Labour has a plan to back small businesses and give them the platform to grow and thrive.

Lampwise has been in business for over 20 years and you can see why - it sells every kind of lamp, bulb and accessory possible.

Small businesses like this provide a service that internet giants can never match. But the unfair business rates system is holding them back.

Today we met with Ryan, owner of eco-conscious hairdressers Crawford Hair.

His salon has many loyal customers who come from many miles away for great service.

But like many small businesses, especially high street ones, Ryan’s costs are rising.

One in six disabled women between the ages of 16 and 59 experience domestic abuse.

This UN International Day of Disabled People, the Conservatives are failing to keep disabled women safe.

Labour will act to protect all women from violence.

RT @vickyfoxcroft: Today is UN International Day of Disabled People.

First established 30 years ago, it is a day to promote the rights and well-being of disabled people in all aspects of life and to celebrate the valuable contributions they make to our society every day (1/3)

Over a quarter of women say caring needs stop them returning to work.

The Conservatives still haven't responded to the flexible working consultation that closed over a year ago.

Labour's New Deal for Working People will make flexible working a day one right in the job.

A great start to with some special treats from Hamblin Bread. This specialist bakery has many fans in East Oxford!

Small businesses are the lifeblood of Oxford, providing jobs and supporting families, and I would encourage everyone to shop local whenever they can.
