RT @FEPS_Europe: “We have a different plan, we are setting it out in a context where there is a lot of cynicism. People have seen politics failing over the last years.

Our plan is made of:
🔴 long term measures
🔴 is based on people
🔴 & on empowering them”

This is a shocking indictment of the government’s response to monkeypox. I called on Liz Truss and the Government Equalities Office to get a grip on this issue months ago.

The Conservatives are letting down LGBT+ people yet again.
RT @AnnelieseDodds: The UK is running out of monkeypox vaccines.

No statement from the Women and Equalities Minister. No call for action. No info on the @GEOgovuk website for at-risk groups.

RT @UKLabour: Happy to all those in the LGBT+ community.

No matter what step of your journey you’re on, Labour is on your side.

Over a month into the job and Nadhim Zahawi still has no responsibilities as Minister for Equalities.

Yet he has just been given significant extra responsibilities for the union and devolution policy.

When it comes to equalities, it seems they're not even trying.

It was brilliant to campaign in Oxford with @RachelReevesMP, alongside @Oxford_Labour and @OxUniLabour yesterday!

Local residents were really pleased to meet Rachel and hear about Labour's Green Prosperity Plan.

It was great to pop along to “Explorazone” on Saturday, one of so many brilliant events in Oxford’s Science and Ideas festival. Great to see the renovated Wesley Mem being used so effectively as well. Well done to all involved!

It was such a pleasure to meet with Amber Lights and find out about all the work that Amber is doing so that homeless people get the help they need.

The profits from Amber's lovely clothes and bags go straight to Homeless Oxfordshire. Well done again to Amber.

RT @LabourNorthWest: Congratulations @Ashley__Dalton, our candidate for the West Lancashire by-election.

12 years of Conservative government are hitting families in West Lancs hard.

We need an MP that’s on our side. Ashley will stand up for West Lancs and be a strong champion for our community.

Talk of blackouts this winter is a damning indictment of Conservative policy over the last 12 years.

Labour has a plan to create GB Energy to provide greener, cheaper energy for the future.

A month after Nadhim Zahawi was appointed Minister for Equalities, he still has zero responsibilities.

No direction. No plan. No clue.

They’re not fit to govern.

The Tory Government is imploding in front of our eyes.

And people’s mortgages and livelihoods are going up in smoke as a result.

Labour is the party of fiscal responsibility and economic competence.

Awful to see yet another water leak weeks after the - now at Heyford Hill. Water off for many residents and local schools closed.

I am asking ⁦@thameswater⁩ for urgent updates.

Thank you to police dealing with traffic queues.

“People know that when their bills arrive they can either cut their consumption, or they can go out there and get higher salary or higher wages, they can go out there and get that new job.”

Even more reason why the Tory Party Chair must respond to my letter and explain what the Chancellor said to the elite group of Tory donors who attended this champagne-fuelled event.

The public needs answers.
RT @AnnelieseDodds: Many will be sickened by media reports of champagne-quaffing Tory donors encouraging the Chancellor to press ahead with further tax cuts for billionaires.

We need to know who was there, what they paid …

It was great to see representatives from all of Oxford’s seven twinning groups in the Sheldonian theatre over the weekend. They all do great work building understanding and providing opportunities. Well done to everyone involved.

It was great to visit Rose Hill and Iffley Low Carbon Group for today’s repair café- practical action to help with the cost-of-living crisis and help our environment.

The next repair cafe will be on the first Saturday in December, again in Rose Hill community centre.

Many will be sickened by media reports of champagne-quaffing Tory donors encouraging the Chancellor to press ahead with further tax cuts for billionaires.

We need to know who was there, what they paid for, and if civil servants were present.

RT @UKLabour: Black History Month is a time to reflect on the achievements of Black communities, as well as acknowledging the inequality they still face today.

The next Labour government would make securing racial equality in the UK a priority by introducing a Race Equality Act.

Crisis management according to Liz Truss

Cause: £45bn in unfunded tax cuts for the richest.

Effect: currency crisis, mortgage crisis, cost of living crisis.

Solution: make working people pay the price.

Tory MPs need to step up and vote against these reckless plans.
