Ukraine has fulfilled crucial EU recommendations, including those on national minorities, needed for the decision to open accession talks.

We are interested in becoming a reliable member of the Union, following detailed accession talks, and contributing to the safety and prosperity of the EU and its citizens.

It is in the best interests of the EU to maintain unity and credibility by taking this historic step this week.
