I follow the situation in Iran closely, being in contact with representatives of very diverse Iranian society and diaspora.

Whether it was Tsarist, Soviet or led by Putin, Russia has not changed over the centuries. It is driven by the same imperial instincts, repeating the same scheme: conquest, genocide, colonisation, then seeking a silent acceptance of the status quo by bribing the intl community.

The collapse of the last colonial empire in Europe is inevitable. Dissolution of the Soviet Union was a catastrophe for Putin & his KGB colleagues, yet for many nations it was a blessing. I am convinced it will be also the case of the Russian Federation.

Błędy polityki Unii wobec Rosji wynikają także z wciąż nierozwiązanej kwestii braku równowagi geograficznej wśród personelu Europejskiej Służby Działań Zewnętrznych. Mam nadzieję, iż moja poprawka przyjęta przez #PE będzie miała wpływ na zmianę tej niedopuszczalnej sytuacji.
