During a courtesy call by the National Council of the Elderly, accompanied by the Hon. Jo Etienne Abela, Minister for Active Ageing, I heard about the work carried out by this same Council to promote the rights of the elderly and reduce discrimination.

As the elderly make up a quarter of our country’s population, we agreed that this sector has a lot to offer to society by continuing to play an active role even after reaching retirement age.
