I was honored to be invited to this science stakeholder dinner with esteemed guests, including Dr. Phil Mjwara, Director-General of the Department of Science and Innovation, Dr. Michael Makanga, Executive Director of the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking, and Dr. Robert-Jan Smits, President of Eindhoven University and former Director-General for Research and Innovation at the European Commission. I thank Ambassador Xasa for the invitation and to all the members of the South African Embassy.
